Possibly one of the most easily recognisable buildings in Norwich, The Forum is a great place to hang out, eat and shop at any time of day or night.
Built on the site of a previous library, The Forum opened in 2003; since then, I’ve frequented The Forum at least once a week, for library books, coffee and gifts.
Not only that, but it’s a great place to go if you want to know happening in Norfolk and Norwich – the Tourist Information office offers leaflets and tickets for various attractions around the county.
Watching the world go by
Cafe Marzano, located on the ground floor, is the perfect place to meet friends and people watch – I could sit there all day wondering where everyone’s going and what they’re doing. You should definitely drink your coffee outside during the summer though, because there’s a great atmosphere and even more people to observe!
The foyer area is host to a range of events throughout the year too, from the Christmas Craft Fair to Comedy nights and open air cinema. There is also a beautiful old carousel on the steps out front at the moment, which you should definitely check out.
Directions
The Forum is located on Millennium Plane in Norwich, behind the market.
