It’s true. I love Loose’s Cookshop. It’s like a little piece of baking heaven right in the middle of Norwich city centre.
It sells everything you could possibly need for the kitchen, from high grade utensils to beautiful serving dishes and elegant tea cups.
The ground floor mainly deals with the serious aspects of cooking, like knives and saucepans, while upstairs is much more frivolous. As such, this is my favourite area, crammed full of baking and preserving goodies.
Decorating cakes
This Christmas I’ve been making flavoured vodka as presents for my loved ones and have managed to get all my Kilner jars and bottles in Loose’s for a very reasonable price (the bottles were £1, if I remember correctly). I’ve never been so industrious around Christmas before!
Unsurprisingly, it’s the cake decorations make me feel all giddy though, from slabs of pre-made royal icing to a rainbow of edible glitter, pre-made decorations and cupcake cases; it’s all too much for me! I especially like the Christmas cake decorations – the little gingerbread man sprinkles are very cute!
I could literally go on and on about Loose’s for hours – I love baking and everything that goes with it, so if you’re a bit of an amateur Nigella too, I suggest you head there.
Directions
Loose’s is located on White Lion street, in the courtyard opposite Debenhams.
