I don’t know why I’ve been struggling to come up with a post today. I have been meaning to write about The Cellar House in Eaton for ages…
It’s my Mum and Dad’s local pub and we’ve been going there on and off since before we moved to Norfolk – in fact we’ve spent Christmas morning there the last few years. As I say, I have no idea why I haven’t blogged about it before!
I particularly like going there in the winter, when you can get close the fire – so you can get all toasty after being outside. But then again, it’s also great in the summer, when you can sit out on the patio and enjoy the weather. Let’s just say I like having a drink there!
Actually, I’ve also taken part in the pub quiz (normally on the last Sunday of every month), which is great fun, even if you are uber competitive like me!
A slight downside: I have to say that the food hasn’t been as nice as it used to be. The last few times I went the food was disappointing. It wasn’t terrible, but a couple of times the wrong dish was bought out, or it was cold. However, the bar staff have been happy to put this right.
For those of you interested in sport (unlike me), they also have Sky Sports HD, so you can watch football/rugby/tiddlywinks to your heart’s content.
