Lucy shares the some photos from her recent walk at Mousehold Heath with The Chap.

Tired of being cooped up indoors and needed some fresh air, last weekend The Chap and I decided to make the most of the January sunshine and headed out in the cold for a walk at Mousehold Heath.

I didn’t want to go too far, because I had errands to run in Norwich, so it seemed like a sensible plan. Just five minutes’ drive from our house, we could go for a quick walk and then head back in time for lunch.

However, I hadn’t really appreciated how large an area it covers. We spent several hours ambling around up there! It’s so surprising that there’s so much green space to explore so close to the city centre.

Plus, there’s lots of parking and you can grab a coffee and a cake up at Café Britannia. The view from the café is stunning – we sat and picked out Norwich landmarks while hugging our hot drinks.

More days out in Norfolk

Lucy

Hi, I'm Lucy. I've lived in Norfolk since 2001 and in that time I've grown to love this fine county. From the city of Norwich, to the countryside villages and sweeping coastline, there's so much to explore and hope to share my experiences with you here.
