Frippery at Follies

Now, as you may have guessed, there’s nothing that I like more than a shop selling things that I don’t really need, which is probably why I like Follies on Bridewell Alley in Norwich.

It’s a teeny shop with ancient woodwork and low ceilings in the shadows of a medieval church. And if that’s not enough to whet your appetite, it also sells some beautiful and fun things.

I am particularly taken with the set of three swallow wall fixings (available in various colours) – I think they will add some much-needed kitsch to my living room! At £9.95 they’re rather reasonably priced for something a bit silly too.

There are also very cheap candle holders and beautiful glass votives, teapots and china, greetings cards and earrings. It’s a great place to visit if you’re struggling to get your OH something for Valentine’s Day.

Although they don’t have a website, Follies does have a Facebook page. You can check it out here.

Hi, I'm Lucy. I've lived in Norfolk since 2001 and in that time I've grown to love this fine county. From the city of Norwich, to the countryside villages and sweeping coastline, there's so much to explore and hope to share my experiences with you here.
