Firstly, I must confess to my own failure: today’s blog was meant to be about a shop in Norwich, but I forgot to take a picture. Because of that you will have to make do with my seaside blog instead. Apologies!
Anyhoo, a weekend-or-so ago I decided that I needed a trip to the seaside, so I gave my mum a ring to see if she fancied joining me. We were both at a loose end, the weather was nice and I needed an ice-cream, so it seemed like the logical thing to do.
We ended up at Wells-next-the-Sea, north Norfolk, which is somewhere that I haven’t been in ages, but should go more often because it’s lovely. It was absolutely packed with people that day, which is testament to its popularity.
Because it was such a hot day we stopped for a quick beverage at The Crown pub, before wandering down the lanes to the seafront, stopping at little boutiques on the way; there are some lovely shops in Wells and you can pick up some great gifts.
That all seemed rather strenuous though, so after getting to the seafront we went to visit Whin Hill Cider, a Norfolk-based cider producer. I tried a few and ended up taking a bottle of medium sparkling cider home!
Although I didn’t sample their delights, there are also some lovely fish and chip shops in Wells, so give them a go, my Mum recommends it. (The only reason I didn’t was because the queue ended in the street!)

All in all we had a lovely day out; we got some fresh sea air, a nice walk and a bottle of cider. I can recommend it as a great place to visit.
