Logans in Norwich has been a favourite spot of mine for more than 20 years, ever since The Bestie introduced me to it during our uni days.
For anyone who considers themselves a Norwich foodie, Logans is a staple. Whether you prefer to sit down and enjoy your meal in the cosy café at the back or grab a freshly made takeaway from the front, this lunch spot has you covered.
Working dangerously close to this gem, I often find myself sneaking in for lunch. And when the sun’s out, Logan’s salads are impossible to resist.
For just £6.30, you can build your own masterpiece. The portions are super generous, but if you’re feeling extra peckish, you can always add more.

Here’s how it works: you get to choose three salad bases, one protein, four toppings and a dressing. And the options are kind of overwhelming.
I’ll admit, I often find myself in a bit of a panic when I reach the front of the queue at Logans. With so many delicious choices, it’s easy to forget what you wanted in the first place. But fear not – the staff are wonderfully patient, allowing you the time to make your decision.
On my recent visit, I opted for a base of rocket, spinach and mixed leaves, topped with falafel, grilled peppers, sundried tomatoes, cucumber, feta, and tahini. As always, it was made fresh to order right before my eyes.
Despite the lunchtime rush, their efficiency behind the counter is impressive – I’ve never waited long, and my order has always been spot on. Needless to say, I’ve picked up one of Logans loyalty cards so I can get a free lunch!
Logans Norwich Review
Given its popularity, especially at lunchtime, there can be a bit of a wait to order. But I’ve found that timing is everything. As with Moorish Falafel and Seoul Born, I’ve found that arriving super early, really late, or just after the hour can save you from the usual lunchtime crowds. I have also just found that you can pre-order over the phone, if you’re in a hurry.

Beyond salads, Logans offers a variety of lunch options, including sandwiches where you can choose your bread and fillings, jacket potatoes and even tempting cakes and brownies.
If you’re in a hurry or just can’t decide, picking one of their options is always a safe bet. And don’t forget to grab a packet of crisps or a drink to round out your meal.
One thing’s for sure: Logans doesn’t skimp on the fillings. Their portions are so satisfying that I rarely find myself snacking between lunch and dinner.
While it’s been years since I’ve dined inside Logans café itself, with its table service, I think it’s high time I gave it a proper review. For now, though, Logans remains my go-to spot for a delicious, take-out lunch that never disappoints.
Logans is located on Swan Lane in Norwich.
